An American singer-songwriter, Jim Wirth has appeared on several television and radio shows, including the CBS television show Stars of Tomorrow, which featured his original compositions. Performing as the lead singer and guitarist for the highly successful rock band Addlestone Gate, Jim has performed on the same bill as the 1990s alternative band The Barenaked Ladies, Kris Allen, American Idol's eighth-season winner, along with countless other entertainers over the years.
Jim was also involved as the lead singer and guitarist of the touring musical stage show Majesty, The British Invasion, a production that featured the music of the British Invasion era of the 1960s. The show was occasionally performed with full symphony orchestras.
In the summer of 2010, Jim's song Forever and a Day was selected as the winner of the best original song by Fox affiliate WJBK TV2 Detroit's Fox Rocks annual edition. Over 37 songs were selected to participate, and of the more than 35,000 votes, Forever and a Day garnered 19 percent of all the votes. Today, Forever and a Day is still enjoyed and performed in most of his shows.
A recently re-released version of Forever and a Day is included with several more original songs on his soon-to-be-released album, Every Song has a Story. Several songs include a string quartet, while some have full symphonic accompaniment. And some are just good old-fashioned Rock 'n Roll!
Jim recently released three singles from Every Song has a Story which have been very well received. He enlisted some of the very best musicians for his new album, like drummer Michael Jerome who appears as a member of the rock band Better Than Ezra, and most recently, was the drummer who toured with Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash. Also featured on the album is touring keyboardist Jeff Lehman who played for the 1970s band Looking Glass who recorded the smash hit, Brandy, You're a Fine Girl.
Jim performs songs from his television and radio show productions, interspersing musical highlights of Majesty, The British Invasion show, along with popular covers from various artists.
